Since its establishment in 2000, Bahria University has been playing a major role in educating the future leaders of the country, imparting them with knowledge that would allow them to make a positive difference to the world around them.

Bahria is a multi-campus university; headquartered in a stately campus at Islamabad, with a very vibrant presence in the bustling metropolis of Karachi with several constituent units including Bahria University Medical & Dental College, Institute of Professional Psychology, and National Centre for Maritime Policy Research. The university aims at achieving the highest standards in teaching, learning and research. Bahria University offers a wide range of contemporary programs.

Bahria University has carved a niche for itself in Management Sciences, Computer and Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Earth and Environmental Sciences, Medicine, Humanities & Social Sciences and Law. The university offers a portfolio of programs at the undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate levels.

As a promoter of quality education, Bahria University established a system of academic excellence and character building traditions with a focus on every student as very important personality.  Scholarships in varying categories including advanced, need based and indigent scholarships are offered to the students. Bahria University has setup a Female Girls Hostel for Islamabad Campus to facilitate students from faraway places and also from abroad. At Campus, the students are also given the opportunity to participate in a whole range of sports. A spacious gymnasium is available for fitness and indoor games. At Islamabad campus students and faculty members can play free golf at the 18 holed Margalla Greens Golf Course, set in the picturesque hills.
