To survive in the modern world Pakistan has to follow the path of industrialization and economic development. For this purpose experts and technical personnel in all branches of modern science and technology are needed including geologists and geophysicists. Such development are bound to create various environmental problems as well. As a result, the need for the environmental experts and technical personnel is bound to increase. Realizing the future need of trained personnel in these two disciplines, Bahria University, according to its charter, created the Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences. The faculty plans to initiate, in successive phases, academic programs which will lead to Bachelor, Master, Mphil and Ph.D. degrees in Earth Sciences (Geology and Geophysics) and Environmental Sciences.
